Calm after the storm

After a rainy week, this evening, at 5 p.m. o'clock, the sunset has cut the cloudy sky with a golden surreal light.

I do not know why, but this picture remembers me some works of Magritte...probably due to the strange relation between lights on (road and cars lamps, sunset) and shadows in the bottom of the photo.

La quiete dopo la tempesta
Dopo una settimana piovosa, questa sera, intorno alle 17, il tramonto ha squarciato il cielo nuvoloso con una surreale lama di luce dorata.
Non so perché, ma questa foto mi ricorda il lavoro di Magritte…forse la strana relazione tra le luci accese (i lampioni stradali, i fanali delle macchine, il tramonto) e le ombre nella parte bassa della foto.

I see what you mean! I like the reflection of the golden building in the wet street, the way the street light looks like part of the trees, and how the trees in the foreground almost dwarf the buildings. There is a lot going on here, including a vanishing point and a car parked in the wrong direction. . .lots to play with visually. Kudos on a great shot!
